Hello,
I am having trouble getting SHII running on my PC and if some one can help I'd really appreciate it.
I have installed the game ok but when I try to open it I get a hardware configuration box that asks me to choose a directdraw device, choose display mode and choose a direct sound device.
However, all of the drop down boxes are empty. I have a 2 year old system running XP
I have installed the latest dirrect x
any ideas?

Post what kind of system you are using: ie video card, RAM, and CPU type and speed.
This way, some one might help you out better.

Hi
the last time i looked it was the latest nvidia driver that is used for
all nvidia cards.
go to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
and download latest driver
once installed you need to make sure you also have latest version of
microsoft directX installed.
That card will run sh2 no problem as far as I know.

Thanks Trigg,
I already tried that and i get the following message:
the Nvidia Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit

WOO HOO!
sorteed it
There was a problem between the agp and the pci thingy something or other whatsitsname
anyway, had a hunt around ggogle, found a different nvidia download link and its all working ok now
:D
thanks for your help
I've had a very similar problem recently too :(
Anything that wants to use DirectX or OpenGL just refuss to work.
Well saying that, any videos/dvds or my tv card refuses to work, unless i turn the hardware accereration of the card down until directx/opengl is disabled.
I can turn it back on again to play game but the graphics just dont seem right still.
As with you ive got a 6200 256meg card too. Any tips you found would be helpfull before i go out and buy a new card.
