About renow

I have a little problem: i started a new career at the beginning of war so i'm on a TypeIIA ... now im currently in April 1940 and i still have that IIA! So i ask for a transfer and i moved to 2nd Flottlilla where i could get the IXB but it needs 7500 renow. I have only 4200 renow so my question is: where can I modify renow to reach 7500 and get the IXB ?? I saw many files in the SH3 folder that contain the value of renow but i dont know wich one have to be modified....can somebody help? ;)

If you want to do a little "cheat", just for the immersion, you can go to
documents and settings/"your user name"/my documents/SH3/data/cfg/careers/"your career name"/patrols_0.cfg

Open the .cfg file in a word program, and scroll down to the bottom. There you will find a line saying: deltarenown. Set this to what you like, IE 999999

That will give that career 999999 i renown, and you can buy what you want!

If you like it realistic (like me), dont do that. But then you should also install GWX, and use real navigation! :up::up:

I don't know, but wouldn't it be a little bit easier to change the boat in cfg than add some points to your renown? Have you tried that?

its startin to be hard to sink more than a ship with a IIA if u play at 90% :arrgh!:
anyway i took just the 7500 point i need for the IXB ...i dont like "cheats" :down:
