Playable SHIP's

I want to operate the ship (big ship, for example Bismark) instead of boat. There is a way to make it? Or it is impossible basically?

P.S. In SH2 I made such operation but in SH3 it is not work :damn: .

My understanding is that, yes, it is impossible to do within SHIII. I'm sure wiser heads than I will add to this and explain why though. ;)

IIRC it was nota actually possible even in SHII, but was possible to captain a Destroyer or escort in Destroyer Command which was a companion game that let you hook up with SHII for multiplayer games.

SHIII is purely a sub sim and does not let you skipper anything other than the uboats. There was a mod I think that let you change the player sub to a british or US sub but you had to change one of the uboat types in the game to a new type of sub.

Technically it may be possible to create a playable ship mod, but that sufarce ship would also be able to submerge and the interior would look a lot like a sub unless you wanted to do the work to rejig the interiors. This would be a massive job and I haven't heard of anyone doing anything like this.

tbh i wouldnt want to i think it would spoil the whole game.
this game was made to be a u-boat sim and thats the reason i bought it.

It is very a pity. I thought that someone has made something similar. Interiors to alter difficultly and long, but I would be happy simply to do some shooting from main calibre. In SH2 I made changes in model of the ship and description of a submarine, and could do some shooting from ONE gun. In Destroyer Command it was absolutely simple. Poorly that DC2 do not plan to let out.

lol your english is fine :D it would be good to have a counter part to silent hunter that puts you in the seat of the DD hunting the uboat and having to escort convoys here and there. but it would have to be a dedicated game to it and not just a mod for SH3

Can be Ubisoft after SH4 will decide to let out DD2, or simulator of the BattleShip.:roll: There that we also can much do some shooting. From a thick gun.

didnt some country do that in real life too. i only remember it because it sank. it took some damage but because it was nose heavy down she went. i dont think it was a 16 " though but it was bloody big

Simply after many months of game a little has bothered to operate a submarine. Also it would be desirable a variety. And in general I like the ships and all that goes. (floats only sh*t " - Russian saying).

With sh2 was possible because "Destroyer command" was fully compatible with Sh,
units, engine, etc
i still use destroyer command with a sealords mod that allow use big battleships.
