Great publicity for the owners of Big Brother. Despite the show never airing in India it has become a huge hit. ;) Could curry houses across England close in protest too? I doubt it since most of them are run by asians not from India but in fact the Sylhet region of Bangladesh.
Indians burn effigies at BB protest (http://entertainment.aol.co.uk/tv/big-brother) from AOL News.
Protests, disgust in India over Big Brother "racism" (http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/articlenews.aspx?type=topNews&storyid=2007-01-17T144153Z_01_DEL230478_RTRUKOT_0_TEXT0.xml&src=011707_1538_DOUBLEFEATURE_big_brother_racism)f rom Reuters UK.
For the record I avoid Big Brother like the plague. :D

Same here, hate it. :smug:
What makes me  is all those people phoned up and complain about a stupid show and in the real world how many of them complain about Council Tax going up and up.

LOL! :rotfl:
Are the protesters being paid by Endemol? That's the idea. After 500 runs the theme has been beaten to death. Re-invent it with a celebrity crap and add in insults to get attention.
Seems like it worked. Endemol thanks you.

Here I was thinking that India went all 1984 on us...
I really need to watch more TV maybe. Then again, nah I probably don't. :rotfl:

However, thats one beautiful woman. so thanks for that, at least.

Why do people watch such utter rubbish on TV? Now I no I was right to read more books that to watch this slop on TV. FYI, Australia has it's own version:nope: (sad to say), which has got into a lot of trouble over the years due to antics shown on TV, and things that happened off screen.
I watched the whole of the very first 'series' some years ago and since then I try and avoid it wherever possible. She is watching it right now downstairs.
All I have to say on this particular 'item' is this:
It's Jade Goody ffs, what do you expect? and the others...
Not racism as such imo, more a yardstick of the 'common-brit-thick-as-****'
When you're as intelligent as Jade you're bound to have suspicions about those around you and their opinions. Typically low-brow programming, to a large extent made for, by and featuring the same.
At least my TV license doesn't pay for it.
That's a very good point...trust STEED.
Thank You Xabbarus.
I have no time to watch rubbish like that, folks here were watching it like there life depended on it. As for myself I was playing some card games on my computer which was far more interesting.

I think your above analysis is right on the mark. :yep:
his is my prediction. I think that Jade Goody will experience poetic justice in terms of her fame. Before the original Big Brother she was a nobody. Then she became this huge celebrity which so perfectly sums up this ridiculous and crazed celebrity culture that exists in Britain. And now Jade Goody with the help of those who gave her that fame and fortune are bit by bit destroying and tearing apart that once existing status of British celebrity. It is time for Goody to crawl back under that rock from whence she came.

Sooner the better.

I was going to suggest sending her out here and throwing her under bloody uluru (tough to get a bigger rock than that puppy), but then i thought about it a lil more and you know, i really dont think that letting her anywhere near this country is a good idea...

Endemol certainly must be happy campers rigtht now. This story has grown into a monster, a bit like that hideous Jade Goody creature. This morning the Big Brother controversy is pretty much front page news on every major newspaper in the country. It's not only the print media. Last night I came home from work to see every UK news channel leading with the story.
Endemol are swimming in an ocean of burgeoning publicity and ratings right now.
I'd rather watch paint dry than this crap.
A radio presenter described Jade Goody as a licking toilet bowl maggot.

here goes.
those b*tches are just jealous - the indian chika is the best looking one on that show, well, she is actually very hot any way.. that they chose to get on her case racially is stupid.
Disclaimer: Ok, I haven't seen anything on that show except what's been in the news so I don't know how it all started, so my opinion is based only on 4min of footage shown on CNN and wotnot. I dont watch things like BB or whatever. I find them disturbingly useless.
I see on the news Carphone Warehouse has suspended their sponsorship of this vile show.
