The first review of our book! (http://www.strategypage.com/bookreviews/313.asp) Not exactly in-depth analysis, but at least Google News picked it up :D

Interesting and good news that it is out there. :yep:

This has just reminded me that I haven't even ordered my copy yet. Now where did I put my credit card? Will order today and save it for my long haul flight back to Sydney, Australia in March. Having to deal with almost 24 hours stuck on a plane I think I'll need some good old Subsim comfort. Note that's not to be confused with Southern Comfort.

Not if you are the keg on legs, Boonie. 52 is the magic number. 52 cans of beer that is. David Boon. Now there is a man that knows how to get through a long haul flight between England and Australia.  Legend. Dead-set legend. :yep:

Edit:
Read this yarn for a laugh on the events that allegedly transpired on the plane: http://beebo.org/smackerels/david-boon.html
In more detail here of the whole history: http://www.thefanatics.com/content.php?id=330

It’s also become a gathering place for people interested in submarines, among them gamers, naval buffs, historians, veterans, and more, an odd community made possible by the cyber age.

Are we odd? :88)

Over to you Zaphod Beeblebrox?

Zaphod, "Hey monkey man."

STEED, "Who you calling a monkey? Go bash your heads together four eyes."

Kapitan, did you get my e-mail Sunday? I sent it out to all who preordered the book. The publication date slipped a few weeks (lessons I learned from game devs, lol), mainly because I hired a professional proofreader company to go through the book a final time and weed out any remaining typos. I really didn't want the book to go to print with any errors. We've come this far, I wanted to add a little last minute quality.

thanks for your patience.

..it’s sometimes difficult distinguishing the fiction—or fictionalized—material from the non-fiction..

Hey, this is the unofficial motto of the subsim forums! :rotfl:

Anyway, i think the guy who wrote that review was shocked about the fact that it exists a community of this size, with the interest that we have. Nothing wrong with that, but IMHO im looking forward to a more realistic and focused review, that knows how to appreciate a good read!:up:

 I've heard about these little things but I suspect that they are only on sale in Australia. I'm not too sure if my wife would be impressed by a talking David Boon doll.

I noticed, the reviewer said

There’s some personal reminiscences, game theory, fiction, humor, history, letters, technoporn, anecdotes, and more,

Technoporn?? WTH is he talking about? :rotfl:

Ah well, the quality of web reviewers

That was a short review. No wonder the Reviewer gave only intitials of his name.
