As i sailed along the Norwegian coast, minding my own business, i suddenly got a call that we were low on fuel. I plotted a course to the nearest port (Bergen, btw) and started my journey home. About 300 km from Bergen, and after running on fumes the last hour, the tanks were as dry as my Bernard-jokes. I couldn call for assistance, because Bernard had used the radio antenna to hang up his laundry, causing the antenna and a good pair of kriegsmarine-underwear to be blown away somewhere in the Vestfjord...:nope:
I ordered periscope depth, to use what was left of juice in the batteries, but when i ran out of power, i was forced to blow ballast. The sub surfaced, and by a miracle it started charging the batteries!:o It took some while, but i pushed up the TC, and went under as soon as the meter showed full.
I went into my cabin to see if Bernard had gotten hold of my Talisker 15 year old whiskey (and used it as fuel..), but the bottle had been untouched since that dreaded night in scapa...
I continued this "Power" procedure until i had Bergen in sight, and i surfaced for a last time to recharge. When i surfaced, i ordered full speed ahead, to blow the last of juice from the batteries into the propellers, to aid the surfacing procedure. To my surprise, the boat started speeding up, and before i knew i had 13 knots steady WITHOUT FUEL!! :o No juice in batteries + no fuel = 13 knots!!!!!!
I docked at Bergen, ordered the landcrabs to top of the tanks and wash my windshield, then i plotted a course to the nearest bar, to drink for this miracle..
My question: What the H*LL happend? Is this a bug?? Im running almost 100% real, only external cam.
As you can see, im a proud GWX user. Could this be an issue with GWX?
