7th Flottille question

Hey, I'm currently about 8 patrols into my first and only career with GWX, and already based at Lorient with the 2nd. I have 10k renown, but instead of upgrading from my loyal VIIB to the IXB, I'm waiting until the IXC is available in mid-41, and then I expect to keep it until the IXD, or, may I dream, the XXI.

My question is, does the 7th sail the IXs as of 41, or do they only use VIIs? I'm not too fond of Lorient, having stayed there quite a long time when I played SH3 a year ago, pre-GWX. So I'd like to transfer to St. Nazarie and the 7th, and then later to the 12th at Bordeaux.

I consulted the Community Manual on this one, and it doesn't list an IXs available to the 7th, but then again it doesn't list the VIIC to the 2nd, and its available to me. So I'm figuring either the manual is wrong, or GWX changes things up.

So, can anyone with 7th Flottille experience in '41 answer me: Is the IXC available to the Kaleuns of the 7th?

I anyone would like to comment on my career planning, make some suggestion maybe, feel free to do so.

Flotilla's generally are specified to have certain types of uboats. To sum, no, the 7th doesnt have type IX boats available because their operations do not require them. They dont patrol as far away as the 2nd, 10th, or 12th flotillas do. Said flotillas are the only place to aquire a type 9 uboat because their operational demands require them.
