So I was putting along in my brand new VIIC(16 patols in IIA) And I got a contact report on a waeship. Knowing from experince that from where he was hell run stright I set a course. And when I dive to find them what do I find? A NELSON BATTLE SHIP!!! Along with a Fiji and a Revenge. So now its a race to get into postion. I fire 4 fish at 1500m(?)for under the keel and 1 at the Fiji. I get 3/4 for the BB and a hit on the Fiji. No the BB started to slow down. so I stayed with hif to see if a Coup de Grace was needed. It wasn't it sunk in 45 min. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

If I remember correctly (I haven't been to NYC since the Beta Testing Days) there are LOADS of ships there but no Capital Ships. You can collect easily 100k in tonnage in NY, but if you're looking for warships you should go to Scapa (BBs and CVs there), Norfolk (CVEs) and Loch Ewe (BBs).

Yep Ive been to NY ,it's changed a bit (not a lot) 2 liners docked now instead of 1 and a few gun emplacements on land.

There is also a liner (British If I remember correctly) that moves in and out of the harbour. During the Beta Testing I sunk it in the harbour entrance as it was comming in;) :D I think there are a few PT Boats, and a docked DD and a docked Armed Trawler in NY

The USS Iowa was laid down at New York Navy Yard, 27 June 1940; launched 27 August 1942; sponsored by Mrs. Henry A. Wallace, wife of Vice President Wallace, and commissioned 22 February 1943, Capt. John L. McCrea in command.
On 24 February, Iowa put to sea for shakedown In Chesapeake Bay and along the Atlantic coast. She got underway, 27 August for Newfoundland to neutralize the threat of German battleship Tirpitz which was reportedly operating In Norwegian waters.
In the fall, Iowa carried President Franklin D. Roosevelt to Casablanca, French Morocco, on the first leg of his journey to the Teheran Conference in November. After the conference she returned the President to the United States.
Late entry into the war and after the Tehran visit by the President the Iowa served in the Pacific

Ok will give you a clue
You will find it docked for nearly 2 months at a port up by St Laurence Gulf ( sp ) 8/43
The Iowa leaves just north of Chesapeake on the 11/11/43 heading for a north African port
It stays docked in that north African port for 10 days

Congrats on the sinking, may you have many more! My warship total at the moment is 1 carrier, 1 light cruiser, 1 destroyer, 1 corvette.
Had a hard trp home last night from patrol, came across a Pryo and desided to use my deck gun (I had taken down a pryo earlier on with just two rounds!! The ammo blew up!).
She took just 5 rounds, then her ammo blew. I had gotten a lttle two close and I got caught in the explosion. My watch officer and watch crew killed, All compartments damaged and flooding in most of them. Managed to save the boat, but she was a mess, deck gun, radio, hydrophones, forward batteries, 1 deisel engine and 3 torpedo tubes destroyed. 40 % of my hull integrety gone, I took my boat to the nearest port instead of going back to Kiel.
I tink I'm going to miss the invasion of Norway!
