Have the latest patch (1.4b) and Meditteranean mod (also patched with its 1.02 version).

During my first career patol, I saved the gave twice and happily went to bed.

Today, I tried loading the career, the game begins for 2-3 seconds (in the control room) but before I do anything the end career screens comes up showing me the results of the patrol and career. The only option that I have is to abandon career....

ANy ideas out there????? I tried loading my second save game but still the same results.

Are you saving while submerged? It sound's as if you have experienced the bug where the boat crash dives at loadup. This is almost certainly caused by saving underwater.

Welcome to Subsim:up:

Take a look around there are some supermods available which will increase your gaming experience 100%. ;)

Enjoy your stay.:sunny:

hi and thanks for the welcome.

Actually i was not submerged.

I had just finished pounding a neutral  fishing boat with my 8.8cm when i saved the game...

Ah, this could be another bug. Saving too close to ships/shipping, although I have never experienced this with a sunk/destroyed ship, were there other ships around?

zocho

nope...no other ships around....only the sinking fishing boat...

The only thing i have not tried is something i saw in another thread:

go to the save file and check the "end career=true" (or something like that)

Ok, the sinking boat is still being rendered/tracked by SH3's engine so it is likely that this is the bug mentioned. I think the 'safe' distance is between 20-30km. Note, this bug won't happen everytime, it's better to be safe. Another one of SH3's quirks.

have to start the patrol again?

You can try the above fix, won't hurt. Failing that, I think you will have to start the patrol agian.

On the plus side, if you do start again, you'll have a pretty good idea of where the ships are.:rotfl:

Happy Hunting.

btw, do you think that playing Rammstein on the grammophone -although historically incorrect- will help the crews morale?

I'm not sure abour Rammstein, but I think you could try with "The Internationale"… That should boost morale, not only if sinking Soviets in te Black Sea. (Of course I assume all your crew has their 'proper' political education. Otherwise ̶ don't try this one, it could result in them voluntarily surrender to Russians :) ).

I have followed this thread and noticed reference to a 'mod'...might I suggest you try the GWX mod...IMO the best action you'll ever get in the Med theatre is in that

Read the manual's "Installing" section ABSOLUTELY. TEchnically to instal you start by launching the .exe file (double click, enter or whatever you like).

the way I got it to work (GWX) was to down load all the bin files... the .exe file put them all in one folder and then double click the .exe

GWX is really everything these guys say about it..... really rather fun :D

7-Zip extractor - Freeware

http://www.7-zip.org/

Extract the file and then place it in the JSGME mods folder inside your GWX installation.

As suggested earlier d/l & read the manual for GWX. You can find it here. http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/GWX/ (http://www.users.on.net/%7Ejscones/GWX/)

This is a must as there are cerain requirements to ensure a working installation. The manual is very comprehensive and a good read.
