Ever since I got that freaking new graphics card installed everything is bungled up!!

I do the best torpedo run I've ever made on a convoy, attack at dawn, and score a hit from 4-5000 metres and actually manage to slip away silently, and guess what happens when I raise the scope to check on the escort's behaviour and pos. ....yeah! the bl.... thing freezes, all I hear is the sound of the scope lowering, it goes on and on and on and everything is stiff frozen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :damn: :damn:  :damn: :arrgh!:   :damn: :nope:  :damn: :damn:

My "new" card: GForce 7600 GS.......please! does anyone know what to do, perhaps where to download the latest drivers for this piece of s....? I've been at Nvidias homepage, but nothing seems available there

You might find better advice on a subsequent post, but my $0.02 is to uninstall your current drivers, go to www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com) and install the latest drivers for your GeForce card. Note that you won't find specific drivers for your card on the NVidia site - they're all bundled together.

Good luck! You have a fine graphics card there (well, it should be once you have it running properly).

The card is definately not the problem, I used that one with SH3 a while ago. Get the drivers, mate!

I use a nifty little program called driver detective.

I even bought a license for it so i could take full advantage of its features.

Its a prg that scans your computer for every possible driver you might have installed and will keep you updated whit the latest driver.

It also give you a direct link to dl the driver so you dont have to search around the net for it. It can also give you alternative drivers.

Check it out here:

I can mostley recomend this nice little program to keep your computer updated whit the latest drivers.

:hmm: Okay :D Thanks very much all of you, especially for ensuring me that the card is okay and not "another fawlty batch", it cost me quite a deal of money. That program seems brilliant, think, I'll give it a bash, again thanks, love this community :) where the h... would this and many other games be without it? And all thanks to good old "uncle neal"

One thing I like about this place is how quick one gets responses for questions which can for the user in question be very frustrating.
