Boring preface

Recently I decided to try this famous Silent Hunter III, that I thought is just a piece of crap overloaded with graphic effects. I made this decision after the previous version, Silent Hunter II, got definitely boring as I knew just everything about each mission and nothing would surprise me any more. And that decision was… fabulous! Silent Hunter III is god of games (only Europa Universalis multiplayer mode could attack its position ;)).

So… What next. I'm just… You surely have heard or even seen the famous girls and ladies pissing in their pants when seeing, lets say for example, The Beatles on the scene. As I do in mine when I think about installing GWX, which will happen today. Ay! I can't wait, and… hmm… am I really such a young boy? (Lets check it again in the mirror. I should shave the beard I think. I doesn't go well with my age any more). So… what was I to say?

Probably even more boring career log

Before I install GWX I decided to finish my previous career — the first and the last as for now in SHIII. I am so proud of my marvellous achievements of such a great historical significance (how was it with my age?), that I decided to tell the world how big I was as a captain. Below are logs from my career.

Whole the career played with 100% reality settings, without save/load tactics (only while first patrol to learn manual targeting and some navigating/intercepting issues).

Unfortunately I haven't started writing real captain's log, but I'm planning to start as soon as I install GWX and join the war again as a mere oberfanrich z.s. More unfortunately I suffer from MMX graphics card bug, so quality of any screenshots I could take is worse than bad. Also I play without external view (100% reality), so the only shots I can take are from the periscope or tower view — not very interesting as all of you have plenty of beautiful periscope landscapes every day. Instead of landscapes I deliver two screenshots of my map taken after loosing the last torpedo. And a bonus illustrating the weather, which throughout whole the mission was my friend. And most hated enemy at the same time…

I hope somebody enjoys. :)

They call it 'English weather' not without cause. They also say frogs hide themself in water against rain…

All fish gone, our work finished, Herr Kaleun! Could we start coming back home..?

And never forget that every mark on the map means many human beings killed by fire, water, temperature, blast blow, flying objects, lack of oxygen. Killed by you.
