Hi does anyone know anymore useful hints in GWX as the other day i found out that up in the left hand corner of the navigators map was a load of other maps you could pull down. interesting. Does anyone know of any other interesting functions in GWX

Why would you think that? Sounds like a reasonable question to me.

There was an almost identical thread to this one approx 2/3 weeks back...so you'll either get a boat load of responses or very few...but no tis not a hornets nest my friend

Is there a way to click on the wooden stop watch and make it go/stop without having to click on the watch in the periscope screen first?

No. The stopwatches on the other screens aside the periscope screen are there to help you keep track of torpedo running times and ship speed measurements without having to stay on the periscope screen.

Interesting Feature (only found this the other day)

Crew Management - If you Left-click on a compartment and then Right-click on a crew member he is instantly moved.
(Very handy if you're in a gun battle in MP;))

That's a stock SHIII feature. Been using since about day 3 of running the game. I think it was mentioned in the manual somwhere.:know:

Yep, like someone said though, it's in the manual ;-) Also double click on a compartment to get some blokes in there.

And we all know how often that feature comes in handy ;)

I think it does, but you have to be in the barracks screen, not medals promotions, etc. I think it does any ways ;) Don't have time to test it right now, could be wrong ;)

I'll do you one better. Left click a compartment and right click another compartment (not just an individual crewman), it'll move ALL the crewmembers that will fit! :know:

I started using the click the compartment and right click the man I want to move there. It works great although I do miss dragging my men by the hair screaming through the uboat. :o Especially the men asked to man the flak gun while under aircraft attack! Sometime they run right back to the spot I grabbed them;). The click deal works just dandy now and is a lot quicker:up:

Not all. For whatever reason, it'll only move seamen, not warrant officers. And, for me at least, the damage control compartment acts buggy. Normally if you right click (iirc) the compartment it'll ask if you want to move them to rest, but that doesn't work for me. Nothing happens. And if I left click the bow or stern quarters and right click the damage control compartment, I'm told I can't man the guns in rough weather. :nope:

Get your officer out of the damage control first then you can move the rest "to rest" en masse.
