First of all, thanx to all people who made this mod, it is really a stunning chande from vanilla 1.4b I used to play until few days ago.
After modding the game, I noticed much looooonger loading times (I play on 1,7GHz centrino with 512MB RAM and no dedicated gfx card :dead: at the moment), But.... All the new harbours. WoW!
So, for the first time, I decided to drop that guy who enters data in TDC and to try doing it myself. Uh! Damn AoB  And speed. and distance. And they keep changing  (I have map contact updates and action camera on, 97% realism).
Joined flotilla in Kiel, made my first patrol in Baltic, till Danzig, sinking polish destroyer and medium merchant, and also a neutral cargo moored in harbour. Damn, what is he doing there? It is war!
RTB, second patrol BE36. Got two merchants enroute, no cons in patrol area. Decided to try another harbour attack. Target: Portsmouth. Weather: heavy fog and rain. Entered harbour at 11,00 AM, PD, 2kts. Two DD's patroling on entrance. Almost colided with subnet.
Raised scope, looking for targets. Hardly anything visible, only silhuetes against the sky. Small cargo, small cargo, a bit bigger cargo, cranes, cranes, big cranes, cranes, swinging crane, crane. Wait! Swinging crane? OMFG! This is something huge! Down scope, 2kts north. 200m from that huge object, scope raised again. A battleship! lets chk manual..... HMS Hood! 1kt backward, diving to the bottom. She is moored in direction N-S in the middle of the harbour, AoB 0deg. Torpedos will bounce if fired with contact fuse..... Chk depth. Some 16m total. Lets try below her. distance 1100m, running depth 10,5m. Salvo shot of four torpedos, about 1 deg separation. First two exploded while hitting the bow, second two went under her and exploded ca. 30-50m from the bow. She must go down! Crew is cheering. Three hours pass. Let's go chk. 200m form the pier, scope up. She is still there, just a few scars on the bow. Damn. Harbour is only 250m wide, no chance for a side shot. Except if..... Hm. Yould we try to enter the pier backwards and park as fasr possible from the Hood? scope up u bit, 15 minutes of creeping at 1kt. In Position. Two torps reloded. salvo shot, 3deg wide One for stern, one for middle part. Lovely action camera shot as they leave my sub moored at 14m in middle of Portsmouth port :arrgh!:
Torpedo treffer! And again! She's going down. UHUUUUUUU!
Slowly creeped out of the harbour, passed htrough the Channel in horrendous weather and docked in Kiel.
What a partol!
