View Full Version : Convoy and Task Force Updates
:) I am concerned that I have a problem with my GWX. I recently reinstalled GWX due to cpu issues. For the first three patrols at sea I have recieved a total of 0 contact reports from Bdu. Prior to reinstallation I would recieve many, many convoy/task force updates on the map and radio. Are these updates generated randomly? Maybe it's just bad luck that I have not recieved any? Any info is appreciated.:)

They are reduced in GWX - the map updates not the convoys
So while you will still get them it wont be so often and closer to your boat then before
There is a spy sat mod for GWX that will show all

that seems a bit extreme, I was wondering if there was any way to adjust it a little bit, you know just a pinch?

Well the contact report time in the RND layer needs to b adjusted really
Thats what Dan has done with that one

You could just edit the contacts cfg file and increase the range of contact reports.
This will show more traffic on your map but by the time you get there they'll be long gone.:rotfl:
:nope: - Pipped to the post...
Edit - If you d/l the spysat mod and open the contacts cfg then change the contact range from 99999km to something more to your liking. IIRC the default value is 300km.

Will you still be complaining in late 43 come 44 when planes got radar and DD's day or night you won't be safe unless your submerged.
When I went to enable the spysat mod it warned me that it may have adverse affects on my program. Is this normal?

Through JSGME ?
It will warn you the campaign Rnd has already been changed by the Dec 23rd update
Or words to that effect
Yeah its ok

Is there priority sequencing with JSGME?
Meaning, if two of the mods contain the same file, which one takes priority when read by the game engine, is it top to bottom of the list, etc?

For example, if you have, say NYGM, installed and if you install GWX on top of it via JSGME, all the same files are replaced by the GWX files.
