Don't know how much you can make out, but this little Task Force leaving Loch Ewe consists of at least, HMS Rodney, HMS Nelson, HMS Hood, an Illustrious Carrier and 2 Southampton class Cruisers.

I've only got 7 eels left :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn:

Who do I sink? Like most Kaleuns I'm only interested in hard kills. I'm not leaving any walking wounded that the Brits can limp back to port and patch up.

Theres about 8 Destroyers flanking this lot and I'm 3700 meters ahead aproaching their track at 90deg.

I've saved this baby right here, this is going to get a lot use.

Thankyou GWX Team:up:

I'd go for HMS Hood because that baby brings you a lot of tonnage (48000). The Nelson displaces 36000 and the Illustrious 23000.

I agree with hyperion - go for the tonnage. And, remember what the U Boat Commander's Handbook says: "It is better to destroy little than to damage much".
Good luck!

SOunds to me like you may have run into one of the scripted Naval Operations in GWX... There's loads of them.:|\\

I was just outside of Scapa in mid-December of '39, and just about the same task force was steaming hard to the west.

Unfortunately, I only had 1 fish left. I had to dive deep and let them go. :nope:

I say take the Hood out, and try for the Nelson if you are lucky enough to have anything left over.

Agree with the other Kaleuns. It's all about tonnage. Plus, sinking the Hood will really strike fear in the English hearts back home.

Hood for sure.

Sink the Hood and the Bismarck won't be able to sink her later on ;)

OK, something new: is it possible to play this?

A. Where does the .sav file go?
B. Will it call up our current boat's configuration or will it call up the one in contact in the Save?
C. Will this be a campaign we find ourselves in or a single mission?
:hmm:

I would leave the carrier alone lowest tonnage but saying that she proberbly got a air group assigned to her so planes will bug you.but then again never been in that situation where I had A COUPLE OF BB's and a carrier in close proximity.

Well you could off course take the Akula or the 688(I) fully equipt and try to put it into the SH3's datafolder. :D

Zu Heuffel with that! LOL Give me a Type XXI in that situation, and just sit there pumping out torps at them! LOL Just kidding...

Go for the Hood, then the Nelson, then the Rodney (I thought you said she was there...not too with it right now...), and then bag the Illustrious, if you can (yeah, I know...kinda hard to deep six a BB with one torpedo...although, aim for the ammo bunker or the fuel bunker and that might do the trick...).
