I came today with another weird idea : instead of using the waypoints system, I decided I would simply estimate my route with the plotting tools and give a bearing to follow like IRL.
I discovered that when the rudder is set to 0, the bearing is slowly drifting eastwards.
Checking back on the usual waypoint system, saw that rudder was 3 deg. oriented to stay on track.
Has anyone else noticed that (probably I am late discovering it...) and moreover has anyone found a solution to it ?
There is one : giving the bearing to follow at TC x 1 and then put the rudders manually 3 deg. starboard... but would be nice if no drifting at all.
I would suppose it's a stock bug ?

Just curious, were you amidships, 00 port or 00 starboard?
I noticed the other night on some stationary targets that while set at all stop and 00 port i was was drifting port until I placed it amidships.
Of course it could have just been in my head, cuz I've not got much sleep lately.

I have noticed that the rudder only shifts right or left during higher wind conditions. When seas are calm and winds light, the rudder is at 0 degrees when using waypoint navigation. Of course, seas are rarely calm and winds light!

May be a game 'feature'.

It's not the boat that's drifting, it's the heading...:D

Hmm..maybe the compass wasnt designed for accurate navigation..:nope:
I hope someone could fix this..:yep:
