I'm looking at buying a new computer (a notebook, by necessity), and found a couple refurbished ones at Dell. Both will obviously run the game, but I don't understand the difference in the video cards. Will there be any substantial difference between the two machines? Your comments and suggestions are appreciated. Specs are as follows:

1. Latitude - Intel Core 2 Duo – 2330, Windows XP Pro, 15.4 screen, 100 GB EIDE Hard Drive (7200 RPM), 2000 meg RAM, DVD/RW, 512MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M TurboCache, Bluetooth Wireless Card;3945 802.11a/g Wireless Mini Card, $1809.

2. XPS - Intel Core Duo – 2200, Windows XP Home, 17 screen, 100 GB EIDE Hard Drive (7200 RPM), 2000 meg RAM, DVD/RW, 512MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX, Bluetooth Wireless Card;Intel Pro Wireless 3945, $2,149.00, XPS

Thanks,
Dan

The GF7900GTX is one of the latests DX9 cards from Nvidia, I own a GF7800GTX and it runs the game very smoothly.

the Nvidia quadro is more ment for Business purposes

the 7900GTX is for Gaming perfomance

if you are going to use the notebook for gaming purposes.

You can also take in mind that if you get a SLI based Motherbord,
you can get To equal Graphic cards working in paralel at the same time,
And it is the Most at this times... :arrgh!:

Dont buy it on Dell site, you will have a bunch of software, even you dont need too...

take this site and build ya own game-station...
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

It's cheaper, faster, and no preloaded things....
Take a look, you might be interessed...

Merry Christmas Dan. Haven't check my email in a few days so I hope the "package" got there ok. ;)

Get a laptop with the largest screen you can. Stay away from the 15" screens..... you'll go blind tying to play. LOL ;)
