Hi,
I have installed silent hunter 3 from a clean install, and then updated to 1.4v and then installed GWX and the SH3 commander. I have then patched the silent hunter 3 commander as recommended with the relevant files as supplied with GWX.

When i start most missions instead of a lovely blue sky i get a solid balck sky and sometimes with grey clouds. The only time i haven't seen it do it is on a single mission when i had a good grey cloudy stormy day at sea. It appers that it does not like blue sky.

I had also used the optionla mods as supplied with GWX for the map and vis of 16km. I have NOT added any foreign mods as it is so good i have no need to.

I have all the up to date drivers for my BFG Geforce nvidia 6800 GC OC card and the most up to date sh3 commander from jonesoft.

I have tried playing the game without SH£ commander and still the sky is a deathly black can some one please help as it is great GWX..

Many Thanks

Andy

Are you running SH3Cmdr?
If so, did you rollback first?
If not, then open SH3Cmdr and rollback, disable 16km optional mod then re-enable 16km optional mod again.

If this still happens look here....

Careful with that rollback button if your Version auf Sh3 Commander was used with the old SH3 before. It replaced GWX files with the old backups and screwed my installation up.

Did you put the extra files into SH3 commander that are listed in the "GWX is out" thread that had all the links for the downloads?

I'm using an old SH3 commander install without any issues but I followed those instructions.

Out of curiousity, which one did you use to replace it with?
