Welcome aboard!

Do you get any kind of error messages? What´s your video card and how much RAM do you have?

Thanks for welcoming me. Sorry for shouting. My error message is as follows. The installation packae could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package. I have 960 MB of RAM. How can I find info. about my video card?

Seems to be a lot going on here. Lets not worry about video card at this point. That is pretty much useless information because, well, the darn game will not load and the card is need after the game is loaded. First, where did you get this copy? Downloaded, new store bought DVD, Ebay special?

Pls kindly tell us

(1) Your system configuration

(2) Your current operating system [Don't expect that it will work on Linux]

(3) How you obtain this software from [Net/Shops/...]

(4) Anything you think it's important

before we can help you to solve this problem

Ah... One more point about your firewall and user account. If you block SH3 with your firewall or you don't have Administrator right, you cannot get it working as well

I had this happen with another game, you need to download a new version of windows installer. Search microsoft.com or google for "windows installer"

I think he have problem with the GPX-card,

I have a old Hercules 9000 with 128MB, last firmed with ATI firmware.. and it runs great...

If you have Intergrated GPX, than you can update on your mainboard brandsite.. or..
Buy a ATI GPX card(AGP 8x), than goto ATI.com or Nvidia, to download the latest drivers, than install those download drivers on your computer...(DONT USE THE DRIVE-CD)....

Than reboot computer, goto BIOS and disable the Intergrated GPX, "save & quit", reboot again...

hopefully problem solves....

Good luck
