I don't mean to be a party pooper (I really can't talk, anyway, because that compy pretty much pwns mine) but to fully take advantage of an 8800GTX you need a Core 2 Duo or Quad, and one of the higher-clocked ones at that.

Finially going to catch me huh? Anyway, your problem will be worse than mine - the heat level in your room will make you need to install air conditioning, or limit yourself to a time limit of use before you start to sweat yourself out of the room. I refuse to buy a card that can pull 200 Watts of heat generating power. The new ATI's are even worse at 250 Watts!!

PS. Congrats by the way for moving from the 1990's into the 2000's! :p

an what do you think an amd fx-60 is its dual core and over clocked to 3gighz with a water cooling system

My bad. I read his CPU model wrong. Even so, almost any CPU will be a bottleneck for 8800GTXes.

I got a new PC with 1,86GHz e 6300 core2duo with P5B motherboard, because people have overclocked it to 3,22 GHz with minimal heat increase. Thats what im also going to do. :D I decided to wait untill the Vista and Dx10 based games start to come before i buy any high end graphics card. So i bought the x1950 Pro 256Mb, anyone have info on how well it has been clocked?

Got my BFG 8800GTS 640MB two days ago and in my system, I forced SH3 to 16X AA 16XQ AF  Also I do have some bottlenecking with mine but it still does full visuals on all games even oblivion with better FPS then I had with Medium settings with a 7800GT. I am realy happy with this card.

*jealous*

X1950s have leaf-blowers and they still get hot, but you can probably get an alright clock increase.
