disabling the intro movie...

I saw this posted awhile back and cant seem to find it....how do I disable the intro movie??

You mean the one with the animated convoy attack?

the one that starts when you launch the game.....and also the ubisoft thing

I remember i did a similar thing with BF2 some while ago..... If it is the same as that, i just had to delete two files in the main folder.. I dont know excactly what those files are called, since im not on my SHIII computer now.. (my original rig is in the pc-shop, beeing "upgraded") Im sure anybody has the solution for you, mate! :up:

I think it is in My Documents/SH3/Cfg/Main

The Settings part starts with Loadingmovie=Yes or No

Delete it and make a new blank file with the original name?

This works on so many other games (Prince of Persia, Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex, FEAR, Neverwinter Nights, etc.), it should be standard operating procedure. Chuck the Nvidia, Creative Labs, Wizards of the Coast, and the 1.6 trillion other soundbites that precede each game.

Actually, I think I just deleted it. I don't really remember. It's been too long since I've had to reinstall it.

You can find the intro here....
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Movies\Intro

Just delete the file.
