View Full Version : Not another liberal judge
This judge should be sacked for his decision. :nope:
A failed asylum seeker jailed for child rape recieves £50,000 (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=421230&in_page_id=1770)
I am sick of these liberal judges giving money away to these scumbags who come out with a load of rubbish, it is about time this sort of thing was stopped.
lol steed. Surely the title of this tread distorts things here.
You claim this is a Liberal Judge making a stupid decision, maybe he is a competant judge constrained by a flawed law!? Judges in the UK don't have the ability to play politics in the way their counterparts do in other countries. Judges are expected to read Jurisprudence Black Letter (as they call it in Law).
And would you honestly have it any other way. Would you really give a judge the power to disreagard the law on their own personal whim?
DAB
PS. For the record, the problem does not lie with Human Rights Legisalation like its suggested in the article.

Personally: If the law is letting a rapist get this settlement when all know it is not the right thing to do, yes I would let him disregard the law.

Why STEED? I see the law being perfectly applied here... Murphy's Law!
This is really one of those cases. I wonder that if his identity is disclosed, considering his inmates still don't know, the prisioners would seek to apply the law of the jungle on him? Am I right to assume that as is true in general British prisioners also frown and look down on pedophile rapists?

STEED you know, I think an air service should be created to shuttle these 'things' [rapists, killers and paedophiles] back to where they come from if they failed their application to stay in this Country ! It would be cheaper in the long run !

Can someone please explain to me why they're still here if they failed immigration tests? I've never understood that. Its like:
Immigration Officer: "Well it seems you failed"
Immigrant: " "
Immigration Officer: "So we'll let you stay here until you can be arsed to go back yourself"
Immigrant: "Big monies, yes?"
Immigration Officer: "Of course, and a council house!"
:damn: :damn:
Under my government:
Immigration Officer: "It seems you failed"
Immigrant: ":("
Immigration Officer: "This is when your plane leaves, be on it or be arrested"

They can sit the test again and again and again until they pass. And that's a fact.

Happens everywhere. Actually im sort of glad when i read same things happening in other parts of the world :) i then know we aren't the only one's that seems to lean towards helping our crimmals more than the victims.
A prisoner who tried to escape our main jail in Auckland which looks like a old castle was built early 19th century, jumped its high walls and broke both his legs - he then put in a claim for compensation and recieved $70,000.
A case that is just happening now - I put a thread few months ago about a Gun Shop owner who shot a intruder who entered his shop with a machete and was bent on slicing someone up. The police have now decided to charge him with misuse of a firearm and not being in the safe place to use a weapon?? Hes a gunshop owner and safety with guns would be his top proriety! Hes going to fight this charge with jury and got the whole country behind him.
Stupid, stupid, stupid immigration systems. I should note that protesting against this is not an anti-immigrant thing at all. Nor should it be turned into an anti-immigration thing.
Many countries have wonderfully good (planned) immigration systems while having awful refugee systems. And every time something like this happen, it pisses me off quite a bit - having gone through a rigorous point system, interviews, criminal checks and health exams, with my family having to spend our last savings to even get a chance at immigration to Canada - and then struggle to make ends meet here, I don't see how something like this could possibly be considered fair.
Sure refugees should be helped, but there needs to be a rather staunch limit on this. There is terrible abuse of this system in many Western countries.

The asylum assessment system is flawed, but not in that way.
The problem is actually a complete lack of investment in infastructure. To get a job as an aslyum case assessor, you don't even need the standard 5 GCSE's. You have 1/2 an hour to assess each case and you follow a simple flow chart of questions and answers. Oh, and you live in London on the minimum wage - so its hardly a job the bright and the best go for.
The result is that undeserving people get through, but equally as obhorrant are when people are sent back for stupid reasons only to be murdered within days of their arrival. One girl was turned down for asylum because the assessor followed the flow chart and said she must be lying because if you are raped you must go to a rape clinic the moment you arrive in the UK.
The girl was 10 - I doubt she even know exactly what had been done to her. But because she was an easy target, she was stuck back on a plane and sent 'home'. They dragged her body out of a gutter a few weeks later. She had been tortured and raped repeatedly before they disembowled her.
The answer is not tougher immigration rules, but actually a more thorough system. For every story of a failed aslyum seeker in the UK, I can find a story of a genuine case deported. The issue needs careful consideration, proper investment, time. Not the xenophobic rhetoric of the Daily Mail

Yes they can but you are applying this statement in a general manner. You can't just rollup and take the test, you have to go through the process of getting indefinate leave to remain first and then that is after one yar of being in the country legally.
After you get indefinite leave to remain you have to wait another two years to apply for citizenship which you can only do after you have passed the immigration exam (which my wife did incidentl, and I didn't) Then you can get citizenship. The immigration exam has nothing to do with asylum seekers. It is for legitimate immigrants like my wife. Yes you can take it as often as you want but once you have indefinite leave to remain citizenship just brings the addition of the passport.

Indefinite leave from what ? I got the impression people wanted to come to this soft, do-gooder ridden country because they are in fear for their life ?!
Anyone raping a child should have their nuts cut off in public, and a live torpedo up their @ss.

It's just an immigration term, means you can stay. Lets see my wife came here, because well, she's my wife duh.
I don't deny the system needs overhauling but you get a case like this and though I find it crazy it is taken as the norm. Personally I wouldn't want to be an asylum seeker here or in any country.

Seth, leave to the general prison population!! They have some interesting ways of dealing with these type of offenders!
The low lifes who murdered and raped Anita Cobby found that out the hard way.

Problem is they keep these 'things' segregated over here; Huntly is a case in point.
