Just noticed over at ebgames that the projected release date is March 6, 2007
of course this will change :doh: ..... then again, something is better than nothing

Nice find. My guess would be the end of March/beginning of April.
Definitely alot sooner then i thought.........Then again thats not a bad thing :D

With a modified SH3 game engine and the visual enhancements we've already seen, March 2007 is totally realistic.
From the looks of progress it looks near completion anyway. Hopefuly with very few bugs in it for its release. They can always make patches anyways ;)

I hope it is in Norwegian stores before the summer...:nope: Cant wait to see what they throw into the box this time, alongside with the game...

Speaking of beta testing. How is that going to work you think? Personally subsim.com would be a great place to find some beta testers I would think... :up:

I wonder if they'll do that or leave it to their 'professional testers' again.
Not to be bitter or anything, but my impression is that some of the folks here at Subsim know the ins and outs of SHIII better than the devs might. Just look at all the little finds the modders have made, amazingly nitpicky bunch.
...well, maybe that's precisely why they're afraid to take testers here :doh:

I honestly don't know. But I think they understand that SH3 was not Beta tested correctly. It wouldn't surprise me if one or two members of this Forum were selected for Beta testing.

I'll be happy just so long as it is released ready be that March, May or later in 2007. I somehow think that SHII with DWX will tide me over more than adequately. :up:

This sounds really great! (a March release date). Sure hope they change the music.........I was hearing SHIII music in the trailers that have been released.
Early march would be awsome.
Just out of interest but what was actualy wrong with SH3 when it first came out. I know there were a couple small issues but most people act like it was a complete disaster. I didnt really notice any real issues with out of the box SH3 :-?

I think when a company has to release 4 patches in the three months after the release date then the game has serious issues. As I recall, there were a lot of niggly things that should have worked out of the box but didn't. Then one of the patches shut down the radio traffic and we needed a new patch had to fix that.
It was all a bit of a disaster. I still think SH3 is a very good WW2 subsim, and SH4 looks like being everything SH3 should have been and more.
