How do the 2 seperate radar ranges work

Yes, they work. The scale on the left of the radar screen is for the closest range, and the one to the right is the "far away" range. When an object is outside the closest range, you'll have to switch to the long range to see the target. It works for me when i use the radar manually. Im not sure if the AI changes the scale automatic.....
