I´m on my 7 th patrol and i discovered on the 3-4 th one that the weather stopped changing. Its the same conditions from start to finish ( clear, wind 5m/s, direction 0) For the 7th one i tried the SH3 weather mod. I get a different weather at the start of the mission but it doesnt change. This is pissing me off. I hear its fun with the storms and fog but evidently not for me:shifty: Why cant I ever buy a game that is free from bugs. :damn:

Welcome to SubSim:up:

I think you can use SH3Commander to randomise the weather effects.

I'd say it does. I have the same effect.

When running SH3 weather at start of patrol, did you choose the right month and ticked "random" and not "user defined" ? Works fine for me...

So far i´ve only used the weather mod. I have selected the right month and random so i realy dont know why it didnt work:hmm: . But now i´m gonna reinstall the game, hopefully it will work. Gonna install the GW mod and the harbour traffic one aswell. So i hope my new campaign will run more smothly. Otherwise its an awesome game. I just wish games would come bug free when u purchase them. Is that so impossible? :-?

edit: just found out i dont need the harbour traffic mod with grey wolves

Today the video games have become an industry with lots of money at stake and lot of competition. There is a lot of pressure on the dev teams from the editors regarding release datesand with internet it became easy to address issues later wih patches. Some seem also to rely on the communities of players to "finish the job" by providing open architectures. This is why I don't buy games anymore on release date... Others like 1C (IL2 series) choose to incorporate in their releases the jobs of independant modders on an open cooperation basis. Another good example in the flight sims is Falcon 4. It was bugged to a point it was almost unplayable when it came out and in a couple of year's work from the community has become a reference. Other problem today is that simulation games are expensive to produce and have a limited customer's potential compared to FPS or RTS games. On the other side, just by reading the threads here or at Sim HQ, you must admit that we the simmers are a very difficult bunch of crazy nuts to cope with...;)
