Ok so ive survived through to the wars end, however on my last patrol i figured i may aswell make a dash for freedom and run for Buenos Aires in Argentina.
-although in reality the 2 boats that tried this were turned over to the Americans and their crews sent to pow camps in Florida :(

I started out from Bergen on april 10th 1945 and everything was going fine until i was about 300km from Buenos Aires and on the stroke of midnight on may30th 1945 my game crashes to desktop, i figure this is probably because june45 doesnt exist within sh3, this is really annoying as it means my last patrol can never be completed!!

Is there any way to fix this as id love to have a proper ending to my career!

Are you playing stock or with a supermod???

In GW I was 'told' by SH3 Commander that the war finished, but I had the option to continue. I don't think you get credit for the kills though.

I don't know about NYGM but as I said I think it can be done. When you load SH3 Commander it should tell you that you have retired (when it normaly tells you the base that you're in). Try to right-click on this and see if it allows you to continue. That's what I did in GW. I hope it works on NYGM but I've never used it so I don't really know. Good Luck

I think I found the link you need. Check this out Way career without end of the war/to play infinitely (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=90526&highlight=career+1945)

If your running GW yes it is just blast away that anything that moves stay out to at least july 45 sometimes SH3 does get confused and dock in w/haven you will be transfered to Flensberg the only snag is your Neutral, all the convoys you encounter are Unknown and come the end of 45 you will have nothing to shoot at.Also the patrol grid you will be assigned will be "0" all the time.
SOin my point of view it's a bit pointless.

I agree. I don't like having gone through hell to reach the end of the war just to die afterwards from a neutral DD
