i know silent hunter 1 had the tench class available will silent hunter 4 include the tench and balao class subs or are those considered part of the gato class subs

Both the Balao and the Tench were based off the Gato design,so I suspect they will be in the game as improved Gato type subs. (The Balao being a thicker skinned variant of the Gato,and the Tench being a larger version of the Gato/Balao...least I think the Tench was bigger...).

Neither the Tench or Balao classes will be included as separate units, but since there will indeed be several variants of each sub, both could very well be included as Gato variants.:yep:
