View Full Version : Allied v Axis Kill

[Sincere apologies to all. Please ignore this post I made. The German kill WAS recoreded as an Axis kill - I just didn't read the screen carefully enough. I hereby demote myself back to Bilge Rat].

I'm out on my 7th patrol and see a merchant that I want to line up. Turns out it's German but there's not many ships aroun d and I'm still learning this trade. So I decide to use it as target practice and then I will delete the kill (or the attempt) later.

However when I "save and quit", the summary appears to show the kill as Allied tonnage rather than Axis. i.e. Allied: 2,750 tons, Axis: nil tons.

Any ideas what's going on or has anyone else seen this?

Thanks

KC

I just mean "save before and after" and then decide later which of the two you want to run with.

It must be a bug in the game - unless you were mistaken and it was a enemy ship you sunk. Yet if not then it has to be a bug. I presume you have patched to 1.4?

My apologies to those who have commented re DiD etc. It may sound contradictory - but I do actually play at 100% realism and with full manual targeting. I just wanted the practice.

The ship had a German flag with a swastika on it. My understanding is that you are not supposed to sink German or other Axis ships and get penalised if you do, dismissed even.

Rightly or wrongly, I sunk it - and didn't get penalised. It was counted as an Allied kill. Has any other heretic experienced this.

(I am playing 1.4b + GW).

Further apologies to all. I was wrong. My German kill WAS recorded as an Axis kill, I just didn't read the screen correctly/well enough.

Moderators - please remove this thread if you wish because it's rubbish and may mislead others who don't see this post.
