If you use the F11 key they are found in the Programs(on the hard drive)/Ubisoft/SH3 folder. They are at the bottom and are in .BMP format I believe

Yes they're saved as BMP and stored in C\Program Files\Ubisoft\SH3 directory. They are usually named SH3@some numbers.bmp

Why not just use the function in d3d9.ini? Any reason for not using it?

The only alternative if you don't want to keep having to access the game folder is to use the 'print screen' key and use Paint then save them to wherever

If you use a prog like GrabClipSave 1.4 you can use the PrintScrn and it will save your prints from the clipboard to a preset folder off your choice as .bmp, .jpg or .png automatically, freeing up the clipboard for new prints and freeing up the ram used by the clipboard. There are other progs that do the same, but this is the one I use.

Have been using the same Grab Clip and Save for a long time for all my screenshots in any game and can also testify it does he job perfectly, with a lot of parameters to set up to your taste.
