Not sure if this has been posted here before, apologies if it has.

Made me smile, not quite as involved as SH3 :D but maybe it can shed some light on those pesky destroyers.

I found that tectics section interesting, unfortunately the DDs in SH3 are not able to deploy such things, would make attacks more challenging but would also exeed every possibility mankind has with AI. *g*

Fab. I find them rather boring, they are no match to me. Okay, I'm in 1940, and haven't faced elite DDs yet, but those that came my way are either below me now or I let them pass. But I play stock SH3, maybe they are already more challenging in GW1.1 or nonetheless later in the war. I'll see. Now I head for Gibraltar, let's see what's in port. :ping:

You play stock. The "big" boys play GWX and they are scared to their bones. Believe me, you don't wanna meet a veteran DD in GWX. You won't have time to say "Goodbye" yet alone crash dive!

It somehow looks like GWX fixes almost everything to complain about in SH3. Even things I thought can't be fixed without source code access.

until you play GW you won't know what an achievement avoiding DDs, nay, surviving a depth charge attack really is.

Yeah, really. No real-life kaleun ever thought of going to Gibraltar to see what's there.

Don't worry, in the stock version you'd miss or just reduce your HI ("head integrity" in this instance) by maybe 15%......

I'm not too familiar with GWX, how are the DD behaviors in comparison to NYGM?
