Hey, in the movie Das Boot (which im assuming most of u saw), U-96 gets severely damaged while trying to cross Gibraltar enroute to La Spezia , the Captain's plan was to dive and let the current drag him through.... of course it failed thanks to a passing aircraft.

Can we do this in SH3? I.e let the sea current drag our U-boat? IRL this is possible, since the currents around Gibraltar are really strong indeed , and some submarines were unable to head back after crossing it.

On a less related note, where can I download the theme music for Das Boot? (mp3 format)

Ocean and tidal currents are not modelled in SHIII so you can't "let the current pull you through", but you can run at slow or 1 or 2kt to sort of simulate this action but you have to actually push you boat everywhere.

Almost all ships do "drift" at around 0.5kt or less when they are stationary but it's too slow to really notice unless you sit a watch for a loooong time.

Well, that is a pity indeed, looks like Ubisoft left this one out.
Thank you for replying.
