View Full Version : I guess it's my turn
Just thought I would introduce myself. Been playing for only about a month now and have lukred around here but just finally now got around to making an account. Tons of great tips and advice in here, can't thank you all enough for that. Much like a lot of people in here I seem to have an addiction to the game that keeps me up WAY too late, but I just NEED to get that next kill!! :arrgh!:

Hello and welcome.
Most of the answers to any questions you might have will be found in stickied threads, just as a heads up for ya.
I sometimes wonder myself why I play a game so much in which all I do is swim around in the vast oceans until I run into a ship to kill. Shoot, hide and repeat over and over, :)
Although traveling into enemy ports can be a bit tricky and time consuming too. ;)

Getting in and out of ports are easy just as long as you dont get detected.

And as long as you don't hit a mine or subnet and stay off the seabed. :know:

 Yeah I kind of figured as much. Just that whole pain in the patookis part about getting detected.

Welcome to your new drug!!! Ports suck, I tried three times, first time I hit the nets and totally breached the surface, second attempt sunk by two destoyers and one corvette. Third time was not a charm, hit two mines, no pericscope or hydrophones. Deft, blind and dumb. Leaking like hell. I sculked back to port with one kill and a mess of u-boat. It was not a good day:shifty:

Hi,
Like you I am new. You are right there's good people on this site. With viewing this site and playing SH III I am getting about 5 hr per night. My first mate said that if I continue she will jump ship. It's her or SH III (what a decision. Can I be a good skipper with no first mate?

Much more expensive. Soon you will be buy books on the subject. Models to put together. Movies on subs and u-boats. LCD screens and new videocards to play it at it's best. Installing red lights over your cpu desk for night operations. You will have bags under your eye not to mention the blood coming out of them. You will experience mouse arm/wrist. You will experience detachment from the family requiring months of therapy at your cost. Then there is the divorce/separation litigation. Man it is going to get ugly in the checkbook:o

4) I'm in IT, wrist is shot already.
5) Family? My crew is my family.
6) Broke up with my faince a few months ago, I'm good there.
