What's a torpedo? That one really got me laughing.

It also gave me a weird pic' in my head of someone having played the game for three months complaining about balance and then suddenly posting in ecstacy, "oh my God, I just found out that I can launch huge underwater missiles with propellers that blow just about whatever the Hell up!".

:rotfl:Somehow everybody think I know much about the game, I dont even play at 100%. And I found out that you can use free cam inside the boat a month ago. :rotfl:Heh, it took me an eternity to figure out that by hitting "." and "," (or "<" and ">" or yet something else... It depends on your keyboard), you could have the camera follow vessels. Pity it gets broken for the remainder of the mission when you attach it to land units, though:cry:.

And it did take me some time to learn about Shift+F2 and Ctrl+Page Up/Insert, too.

Right, and he will force in a law that would force Uboats to have 95% of its crew to be named ''Bernards with the officials Bernard Qualification'' that would cause lots Bernard f!ck ups , so the war is lost before it began:know:

I've learned a lot from this thread! :know:

I had been playing for months before I found a post in this forum about the functionality of the little buttons next to the speed telgraph, compass, and depth dials. All this time I was wondering about the "6 Dials" mods I saw, wondering what the other three dials were... :88)

The funny part (for me) was that prior to this "discovery", I had complained to my wife that the game interface really was a PITA, as there wasn't any way to specify a speed, adjust the rudder, or set a depth deeper than 25 meters. I used to just press the "D" key (for dive) and press the "A" key to maintain the depth I wanted.

Someone should start a sticky listing the functionality of all the keystrokes that aren't listed in the #@(&@# lousy piece of !$(&$@#( manual! :arrgh!:

What does the big red button actually do? I pressed it and requested a targeting solution to an enemy ship. I fired, and the ship exploded. Why? I didn't think Bernard was an explosive. It was just a greeting. Then I got attacked by a destroyer and I had to surrender. It was only intended to be a greeting! It's not fair!!!

I'm a bit worried by the guy in my control room....

Every time I order something he repeats it - wish he'd say something for himself. All he seems to do is look over the shoulders of people actually doing something useful, or tell me readings on dials I can see myself.

Worst of all, he gets romantic when we dive.....keeps telling me we're approaching "crush" depth....yikes!!

maybe so, but his face expresion is like ''Crush depth? Who cares''
I could slap him in the face for that and say ''Be a virgin school girl and panic!!!''
on the other hand I dont want that he is going to scream ''O MY GOD CRUSH DEPTH WE ARE GOING TO DIE!!! AAAAAAAAAAH!!!! ABANDON SHIP!'' and pulls out a gun and shoots himself. not that I care that he is dead but the officers are getting exspensive you know...well at the rate that I,m at :smug:
