I'm practicing evading warships and depth charges using the GW mod. I'm at 70 meters and rigged for silent running. In the Nav map, when I zoom in, there is a compass overlay which shows compass headings and my position is in the middle. Extending from my position are black lines. Are these lines representing the approximate directions and distance of enemy war ships? If so I assume that you want to keep these at your six o'clock?

I'm running with realistic setting except for event camera, I like to use this, at least for now, to see where my torpedo's hit so that I can get a feeling of how the run.

TIA

The lines represent all hydrophone contacts. They may be warships; they may be merchants. Some mods leave red lines for warships. Basically you need to go to the hydrophone station and listen for yourself.

Directions are precise, range is quite close of these lines (might also be depending on the quality of your sonarman). And to keep ships at your six a clock is no good idea because you're deaf in that area due to the sound of your own propellers. ;)
