A very good system with a most likely bad video card. You need to find out first what kind of video card it is. What´s the price of the system?

Must be something OK for having 512mb. I guess this is a duel core processor? Not really necessary from what I understand. Games will only run on the one processor. what is the cost of this rig?

No, there are some really crappy 512MB cards out there. The amount of memory says nothing about the speed of the card.

More and more games support dual core processors.

well ... i guess whatever the card will be it would be an improovement since i have a gf 5600 128mb.

i have more doubts about the processor ... since there is a similar system with a pentium D945 (2 x 3.4ghz)

is any t2 better than the rest ? i really dont understand

Have you found that offer on a website? Do you have a link?

Listen to me. The process is the new Intel Core 2 DUO with 1,86Ghz speed. But with the new processors, the GHz's are no longer important. It will work better then any 3GHz machine (I had a P4 2,4GHz machine, the new E6400 works like ten times better).

What kind of ram is it. You said DDR! I ahve certain thoughts about that, as DDR2 is slighty more expensive, but well worth the cost.

And do check on the graphic card.

From what I understand the processor will run the game while the second core runs the background programs.

My guess would be to upgrade the 7500LE to a 7900GT, or something along that line. The LE is a cutback card. I'm also guessing it's a PCIe card. Also the computer does have 2GBs DDR2 RAM. The HDD is SATA, which is good as it's far better than just ATA IDE. So in all, except for the GFX card and XP Media, it doesn't look too bad. But it's your choice and money. ;)
