My first question has already been answered (How to move torps from the external storage tubes.) My next one is how do you buy new stuff for your boat? Or upgrade to a new one?

To purchase new items, you need enough renown which you get for downing ships and planes.
Have fun. :sunny:

Well, I'm using the NYGM Tonnage mod they changed it to how many tons you sink. Anyway, does it cost renown when you get new crew members? If so, then I still have a whole boat load left.

I think what I'm missing here is that I don't see a botton or something that I can push to make the purchace with.
Also, does it cost renown to transfer from one port to another?

In most versions of the game it costs renown to get SOME crew members; those with skills cost more, those with no skills are free. NYGM changed everything. I'm not sure of the exact changes where buying new things/people is concerned, but I think they don't charge anything (except for a whole lot of time).

To purchase something, just double click the item you want. Then the game will ask you to confirm.
I don't think it costs anything to change home port.

If you want to get new crew, as you have found Bernard was causing problems, select the filing cabnet when your in the office. You then can get rid of underpreforming crew and add new member if you want them. The higher the renown to buy them, the better they will perform.

To move your torps, I click on the external eel and drag it to the internal reserve. I used to do that when it was my last fish, but then it took so long to complete the transfer. If I'm on the surface & have time, I do it as soon as I have a reserve spot open.. Make sure you have enough crew in the appropriate torpedo room.. You may only need to click on it, but I just drag & drop it although it remains in the external position until it's fully moved. When you click on it again, it should give you a countdown to when it's transferred..
Good Luck..

Ok, I'll have to try that on my next patrol. Really pissed me off...I had to let a large tanker go by because I couldn't get them to load.:nope:

You need to be careful when it comes to enlisting crew with NYGM. NYGM did away with renown 'costs' for equipment, changing it from 'renown cost' to 'upgrade time'; for example, adding new sonar 'costs' nothing, but there is a week or two required for installation and training the crew on the new equipment.
However, they couldn't change the enlistment (I believe they said that was because of it being hard-coded). When you go to barracks, the better trained officers and crew have a renown cost to them. DO NOT ENLIST THEM! Doing so will deduct their 'cost' from your tonnage record!
Instead, enlist the officers and crew that have a zero renown cost to them.
