The Finnish peacekeepers are trying to block the road from Israeli tanks with SISU armored personnel carriers. Dont know why they are doing it, but seems like they are serious.

Hereīs a rough translation, as the speech is in finnish.

[01:27] - Look! Here it goes! Dont let them pass!
[02:06] - We should take the upper road and get infront of them.
[02:16] - Turn abit, so we can get our *ss to block the tank.
[02:33] - Here! Stop here!
[02:45] - Hereīs our spot.
[02:46] - The other APC lost itīs pressure from brakes.
[02:49] - Go directly *ss first to block him!
[03:13] - Go forward abit, itīs ramming us!
[03:16] - Brake! Brake!
[03:20] - Forward! Forward!
[03:30] - Itīs coming straight through! F**king *sshole!
[03:52] - Hey, f*ck you! F*cking *sshole, come out of the tank and Iīll kick your *ss!
[04:14] - Damn, they are seriously coming through us!
[07:25] - Wonder which one won this round..? I guess it was them. Oh well, next one will be ours.

The rest of the video, they are just chatting about how powerfull the tanks are etc.

LOL, that driver cracks me up.

It looks like one of the vehicles are a mine-clearer (the other is the New Merkava IV). Is this in the Golan area?

Other than that I don't know why they were blocking the tanks or what the Israeli units' intentions were for that matter (pissing contest?).

That's why if you look, YouTube has this listed under "Category: Entertainment." :hmm: :hmm:

UNIFIL operates in S. Lebanon, not the Golan.

In the comments at Youtube, someone is saying that this clip is from 1999/2000 and is taking place in Lebanon.

Then that tank cannot be a Merkava 4. :nope:

Merkava III then, the versions are very much similar (I believe most of the changes are to the crew compartments and equipment).

I didn't read the comments past the first page (amazing how many un-informed and ignorant people point fingers when no real facts of the event leading up to the confrontation are evident nor of either sides' mission or true intent).

What's amazing about it? That's the lowest common denominator talking. They've been doing it since the beginning of times.
