When I acadently attacked a pair of Brazilian Merchants(one Tramp one S. Tanker) the Tramp Steamer went up like a firework. She was apaently caring ammuntion. But if Brizil is nutral why cary War goods? :hmm:

She might have been ultimately headed for Spain or Portugal; both also neutral.
Or Ireland?

As far as I know Brazil is always neutral but if I see one in a convoy or under armed escort I will toast her.

No...I think from like, 1943 onwards, they're fair game. I haven't had any South Atlantic patrols in my current career yet, so I'm not too sure about that. But when I get to that point, I will make a point of checking it out.

I'm currently in the middle of a patrol in the July '41. I've been patroling off of gibralter--actually just north of the canary islands. I've ran into 3 different lone Brazil steamers and one tanker. Also one portugues ship. Brazil is neutral until mid '42 I think.
Anyway, talk about a disapointment--finding a ship, working an intercept, and then when I'm in the perfect firing position I'm close enough to see that it's a neutral :damn:. My crew is getting pretty sick of it. Hell, I almost blasted the last Brazillian ship just out of frustration.

Brazil joins the Allies in late 1942 (November I think). Untill then it's 'out of limits' ;)

Try being stationed off Norway in 1939. There are a lot of Norwegians there. I once posted in a patrol report that I was starting to feel like a Norwegian traffic cop. Then finally a ship came along that wasn't neutral.
He was German.

If you are playing with GW1.1a just use the f1 page menu to find out when Brazil enters the war against Germany.
