I don't get it, as soon as 'moderators' are introduced I have seen two posts moved or merged without any cause or remark. I thought the above rule was in effect a freedom given by the powers that be to post a topic so we can await a response, to communicate issues and opinions about naval news, world events, personal events, and off topic items. I question why instead was my post swept under the carpet before anyone had a chance to respond to it. If it's an old subject and people are getting tired of seeing it then their response will reveal it. I know people get offended I for one have on numerous occasion by what I've read here. But it's how you deal with the perceived offence is what makes the difference. If it gets out of hand then it's time for the moderator to step in, issue an alternative or warning, close the thread or even go as far as revoking the priviledge to post here.

It's your website your rules. But in this instance I don't think modereration was even given a chance rather someone dictated a new unwritten rule.
