Running Vanilla w/ patch..

It never fails, I plot 2 or 3 waypoints, increase the TC & a ship is spotted... I zoom in to check out the range, start to plot my approach & then have to zoom out to erase all my previous waypoints with the eraser.. Is there a shortcut to do this?? I've clicked on 'clear map' but that just erases my compass, ruler & protractor marks...

Also, is there any way to get the compass rose on the vanilla version?? I liked it w/ the GW mod, but had to delete GW since it maxed my video card (512) out and everything was so choppy..

Thanks!!

Shift and click when you erase, and that should erase all of them.

I believe the subsim.com download page should have all the charting tool mods you need.

Thanks, I'll check out the mod page & try that combo when I get home..

Tried the shift & click combo, but nothing was erased...

Did find out that by clicking on the '?' next to the plotting tools, gives me the rose I need when plotting intercepts..

Thanks for the help!!

Place your cursor over any waypoint and then press Shift and left click the mouse to delete all waypoits at once.

That ia an answer to the similar question given by TDK1044 in thread called "Clearing Plots? "

Do you select the 'eraser' or 'clear map' icon first?? I'm pretty sure I tried it with the 'eraser', but will try it again when I get home..

Thanks!!

Shift-Delete with the waypoint tool selected will delete ALL currently placed waypoints.

Moving the position of an existing waypoint and then placing another waypoint (using the little "line" coming from the moved waypoint) will delete all waypoints past the one you just placed.

Cool... Thanks...

Can't wait to try that when I get home!!

Another way is to open the plotting tool, grab the closest waypoint to your sub, move it, then click a "new" waypoint.

All other existing waypoints beyond the one you grabbed originally will vanish.

I must be totally inept :damn: since nothing works!!

When I shift & left click, I just get centered in the map. When I grab any or the erasers & hit shift or control and click the mouse, it just centers me..

I don't know how to move waypoints either.. I grab the 'triangle' (plotter?) and that just adds another leg to my last way point.. If I just use the defaul arrow (cursor), it just moves the map around..

The way I have to do this now is to reduce the scale & erase each waypoint flag individually..

Running patched vinilla with only a few gramophone mods...

Any other ideas or what am I doing wrong??

Thanks!!

I usually leave all my old plots and chase targets by hand, or just use the TDC map.

One thing occurs to me though, and I can't check it because I can't use my computer right now: have you tried putting the cursor on top of your boat and drawing a new plot from there? I thought if you did that it automatically erased the old one.

I haven't tried plotting directly from my sub. As soon as I click on the plot tool, a line immediately gets drawn from my last waypoint.. I don't know what would happen if I clicked on the sub. I'm thinking that it'll just make a circle plot, but I'll try it..

Thanks!!
