... to eject here.
Nothing lasts forever, and all good things sooner or later come to an end.
Thanks to everybody over the last six or seven years, who took the effort to invest time and thought in his answers when discussing with me. I know that sometimes it got biting hot, but only rarely it stayed that hot beyond the immediate moment.
Good luck to you, and may there be happiness at the end of the path that you choose.
If you are interested in tanks and know a bit about related sims and would feel tempted to moderate the tank forum (not much work, really, since it is not much frequented), give Neal a hint.
Thanks for the good times,
Skybird
What??!?!?@?#?!#$%$@#^%$^
Sky? Why you leaving? Sir Big Jugs I could understand, it's his hobby...but you? :o
I really cannot believe that someone like Skybird is leaving.Perhaps he has been pushed by an unknown force!

You can't leave. I forbid it!!! I'll miss our debates!!! Who will provide insightful commentary??!! NO!!!!!
In all seriousness, what prompted this? My curiosity demands satisfaction!
Perhaps the exclusion of a few personalities is the special project. What did the Borg say?You will be assimilated?

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many voluminous subsim postings galore,
While I nodded, merely e-mailing, suddenly there came a wailing,
As of some member again quitting the subsim board
'Tis yet another poser,' I muttered, who's wailing I can easily ignore-
Quoth the Skybird, 'Nevermore!'
Auf Wiedershen! Wait...that doesn't rhyme.

Skybird...leaving? No, No no no, no...this can't be true!
Skybird, the great mighty debater and intelectual of the Forum is leaving. Wow. He was a legend to me, and many others feared him as the one with a flood of fact's who can't be beaten.
This is one of the few instances i have to agree with avon.
Auf Wiedersehen. Und vergiss nicht mal reinzuschauen, ja? ;)

Sorry to see you go Skybird. Hope you still find a bit of time to maybe drop in now and then. I was always hoping to maybe grab a game of Steel Beasts Pro PE online with you one of these days. Even though I know you said you did not play on-line I think I might have been fun. Anyway, good luck in what ever you do and good hunting.

Thanks for your kind farewells.
Kapitan, some honey in a glass of warm milk before sleeping, this is for you. :yep: It's because the lactose will help your brain to - aaaah :damn: ... "stop it now."
Nice poem, Torplexed!
Reasons make good-byes only long, and who likes that? So, your curiosity will stay unanswered, Tiger, Oberon. They are not anymore important now, anyway.
Just want to say that Neal has nothing to do with it - this goes to Linton.
AL, I "must" nothing. One day I must die, that is all that I "must".
Winston, if I ever happen to meet you online, I promise to shoot you from behind. ;)
Mach's gut, Noob!
Congrats to Takeda for becoming a mod. By the impression I got of him I am sure he will do a very reasonable job. Support him.
If I ever happen to fly around close by, I'll drop you a flare.
Tja, so much for my 6.000th...
Bye,

A farewell to you, Sky. I sat for a day to attempt to come up with something gradiose and meaningful, but my meager words would do no service. I have enjoyed reading what you have had to say. I have agreed with perhaps half if it, but I have always found it thoughtful and thorough, and thereby enjoyable. I will miss reading your posts, and I will miss your humor.
Fair winds, Skybird, and thank you for the vote of confidence.
Skybird, Your leaving but why? :-?
Well I bid you farewell, I hope you have a good and happy time. :yep:

Migratory bird. Hopefully you might one day return.
Indeed Skybird, fair winds and following seas as they say. While I've not always agreed with what you've said (Except in the case of Sophie Marceau ;) ) I've always enjoyed browsing through the writings, and especially enjoyed your Steel Beasts review  .
Take care of yourself, and we'll see you out on the fields sometime:

But remember, you'll be back, whether you like it or not. I've tried to leave many times, and here I still am.
