Hello im new to SH3

HEY

just got silent hunter 3 yesterday and i really like what this sim has to offer. but i have a question about something i noticed the first time i went on patrol. every time i hit f12 to look at the outside view of the submarine i notice in the sky there is a really bright white object in the sky.( i guess its the moon??? but it can't be!)
It looks so out of place. Is it some portal to another world or something. lol but anyway just wondering if anyone has seen this.

Get yourself patched to 1.4b to clear up most bugs, then look around the forum and try a supermod.

Hello there JerM and welcome to SubSim:up:
I just installed Patch 1.4 on top of my stock game. Never bothered with patch 1.1.
Did you DL the right patch as the are different patches for different areas of the world. You have the US version so you need the US patch.:up:

Also make sure that you have the correct patch version, either the DVD Patch or the Download Patch.

As Mr Chris said, go straight for 1.4b.

There are different sets of patches, depending on which version of the game (US, EMEA). In any case, when you get the right version for you, make sure it's 1.4b (and ignore a message when installing that says 1.3 installed).

Already ive downloaded and installed various mods, you must get the Grey Wolves mod, Das ist und daschund knoben (the dogs knob!!!).
