Found this a worthwhile reading. By opinion, I tried to express myself some weeks and months earlier what this book excerpt is saying, but I probably did not got it together so smoothly.

Ahh, what's the point? THis is all old news that any savvy investor already knows - and they have known since the 1940's. The US Government has the US dollar on a track (this started in the 1940's) to be worth .05 cents on the dollar in a 40 year period. That means that your current dollar is worth exactly half of what it was 10 years ago.

Now did you really expect the US Government to pay off its $$Trillions in debt on a dollar for dollar basis did you? Trust me, they had a plan to take care of it for decades.

PS. Your Grandma lied to you when she told you that saving money is a good idea. Do the math.
