For the holidays we are releasing a GOLD Edition for Europe through POINTSOFT Europe. The new edition includes new weapons, ships, audio crew responses, 4 languages and a full copy of the soundtrack. The difference between our original release and the Gold version has to be experienced to be believed. We will be releasing a patch (comprehensive and incremental) for existing Enigma: Rising Tide owners.
With our new programming and art staff, and great support by our customer base, the oft-delayed Enigma Multiplayer is once again underway. The engineer and artist blogs will begin to be updated at www.warfleet.net.

Single-player release of Tesseraction Games first product heads for stores
Eugene, OR (March 19, 2003) - Tesseraction Games announced today that the retail build of ENIGMA: RISING TIDE has been certified GOLD by publisher GMX Media and is heading for a global retail launch beginning April 5th in the UK.

"The game industry is very competitive and it is a significant feat whenever an independent studio can bring a high quality product like Enigma: Rising Tide to market." Enigma: Rising Tide is scheduled to be on retail shelves in mainland Europe on April 15th, in the United States and Canada on May 15th. Tesseraction Games is including a free
30 day multiplayer trial for registered owners of Enigma: Rising Tide when the multiplayer version is launched this coming Fall.

GMX MEDIA SECURES WORLDWIDE RIGHTS TO ENIGMA: RISING TIDE RELEASE

LONDON, UK (February 3, 2003) – Just under a month ago GMX Media announced its acquisition of the rights to publish the massive naval warfare PC title Enigma: Rising Tide in Europe. The company has today confirmed that it has secured the rights to publish the title worldwide. Enigma: Rising Tide is a groundbreaking concept melding cinematic pacing with immersive graphics and historical accuracy to produce the worlds first alternate history, naval warfare vehicular shooter game. Enigma was initially created solely as an online game, however after discovering the title and its massive potential, GMX entered into an agreement with the developers to produce a FULL retail, single player version of the title. The size and scope of the Retail version is stunning and includes a huge number of Patrols as well as comprehensive Submarine and Surface Command Campaigns. In all more than 60 distinct missions are available to be played from a large variety of Ships and Submarines. Enigma is also one of a very few games that can be played completely by voice command giving the player an added element of immersion. In keeping with the original intent behind Enigma, Tesseraction Games has agreed to include a free 30 day trial of Enigma: Rising Tide Multiplayer when it is launched later this year.

The offline version of ENIGMA: RISING TIDE provides players with thirty missions and two campaigns, along with a wealth of submarines, corvettes, and destroyers in which to set sail on the game’s breathtaking virtual ocean. Features include Voice Command and Control, an intuitive, easy-to-learn interface, an original musical score by Tim Clarke, and realistic ocean effects that create a totally new tactical dimension never before seen in computer gaming. Computer game’s cinematic musical score now available
EUGENE, OR (September 27, 2002) - Tesseraction Games, Inc. announced today that the soundtrack for ENIGMA: RISING TIDE has been nominated for a Grammy. The Enigma: Rising Tide Soundtrack lands in select retail outlets on Friday, September 27th and will be available from the Internet and local record outlets soon after. The soundtrack, composed and arranged by Tim Clarke of Score! Studios in Eugene, provides signature music for the game, as well as tracks devoted to evoking the look and feel of the game’s three factions. Themes include the magisterial German Empire, the heroic League of Free Nations, and the bold United States, as well as mood pieces for combat, suspense, victory, and defeat. "It’s an incredible piece of work," said Tesseraction Games Lead Designer Alex Jimenez, who worked closely with Clarke on the music’s development. "There are moments where the music swells and you feel you heart just leap into your throat. All the great movie scores grab you that way." "It’s a great honor to be nominated for a Grammy," said Tesseraction President Kelly Asay. "Tim is a very talented composer, and we’re proud to have the good fortune to work with him. Tesseraction Games opens Beta registration for “Enigma: Rising Tide”
Cinematic naval combat game to begin final development stretch
Eugene, OR (July 3, 2002) - Tesseraction Games, Inc. announced today it is opening registration for the upcoming Beta-test of the naval combat game Enigma: Rising Tide.
“We’re looking for a broad spectrum of testers for ENIGMA,” said President Kelly Asay. “It’s important to put the game through its paces on a decent variety of configurations so we can make the kinds of adjustments only a widespread Beta uncovers.”
The Tesseraction Games development team has been hard at work since last September on the game, which is slated for release later this summer. The rapid development time has been made possible by various strategic technology partnerships. The game was demonstrated to a favorable response at E3 in May, and according to Asay, “has made great strides since then.”
“It’s incredibly rewarding to be at this stage,” he said. “I can’t wait to lift the curtain.”

7/03/02: Press Release: Tesseraction Games has announced that it will begin accepting sign-ups later this week to beta-test Enigma: Rising Tide, its upcoming massively multiplayer online naval combat simulation. The sign-ups will be held at the Subsim.com website later this week and the beta test will begin shortly thereafter.
Enigma will let players take part in massive naval battles including the use of torpedoes, deck guns, and depth charges. In the final version of the game, thousands of players will be able to take part in the battles. The game is scheduled for release as a free download this summer, and after a free trial period, players will be charged a monthly subscription fee.

5/02: Tesseraction Games announces successful Alpha multiplayer for "Enigma: Rising Tide"
With Alpha milestone complete, preparations for Beta signup underway Eugene, OR (May 14, 2002) Tesseraction Games announced today it has reached its Alpha multiplayer milestone for ENIGMA: RISING TIDE, the alternate history, World War II-era, cinematic naval combat game to be released this summer. "It’s incredibly gratifying to be sinking each other," said Tesseraction Games President Kelly Asay. "Even in its early stages, this game is addicting."
The Alpha successfully permitted over twenty ships to engage each other on the open ocean, and included the use of deck guns, torpedoes, and depth charges. When the game is released, thousands of players will be able to wage war in the open seas. ENIGMA: RISING TIDE is designed to provide exciting, massively-multiplayer, ship-to-ship battles with very high player densities. The game software will be available free-of-charge, and following an initial free trial period, players will register and pay a monthly subscription fee. In addition to tracking its persistent storyline, Tesseraction Games plans to release upgrades and expansions every three months for the life of the game, also at no charge to subscribers. Beta signup will begin shortly after E3.
ENIGMA: RISING TIDE will unfold a detailed backstory in which three Great Power "Empires" wage war against each other using submarines, destroyers, destroyer escorts, corvettes, tankers, merchantmen, and aircraft. The game is designed to be action-filled and easy-to-learn while providing depth of strategy and cinematic cat-and-mouse suspense. Eventually, player actions and decisions will steer the direction of the alternate history story and the evolution of the online war.

Update 3/02: Tesseraction Games sent Subsim Review a short note with some info and a couple pieces of art from their upcoming naval game Enigma: Rising Tide. Sounds pretty interesting! Remember, some of the guys were former Dynamix developers (as in Aces of the Deep).
