As much as I love GW 1.1, I find one thing pretty annoying. The many additional messages, which are per se really good and adding to the atmosphere, always drop me down to real time so I manually, by pressing the + key several times, have to get back to the TC I previously had. This is especially tedious in times, where many such messages are broadcast, like big convoy battles or Paukenschlag.
Is there any way to tell the game not to drop to real time when receiving this kind of messages? Using GW 1.1a with SH3Commander. |

If you use SH3 commander you can set the TC on messages to anything you want. If you dont use it there is, I believe a light version on the message traffik. Not sure where to get it.

filename messages_en.txt or messages_de.txt, depends if you are in english or German. Either open the file and edit out what you don't want, or delete the file. You'll still get the convoy messages, those come from somewhere different. I used to edit it and only left in the supply messages, telling me where cows were, eventually I just deleted the file. It's just a text radio script, with timed based triggers. They have zero effect on the game, other than drop you out of TC. |
