das boat sound?

whats the most popular sound mod to use? im using sailor steve's sound mod but the only thing thats missing of me is the das boat captains voice when making speed changes as the vanilla german voice is annoying. where can i down download more das boat audio?

I'm not sure what you mean. The speed change voices from DBSM are in there. In fact, some people originally complained because the 'Ahead Slow' command is always whispered.

i extracted your sound file to my sh3 main folder but i dont get the das boat voices. in main options i select german not english, but that shoudnt affect it right?

I didn't create a new set of folders, because at the time I (computer idiot that I am) thought that replacing a folder would make it lose the other files in it.

You have to copy the contents of the 'Speech' folder and then paste it into each of the 9 'Speech' Folders in the game. A bit of a pain, and I apologize, but as I say I didn't know any better. And yes, it should be 'German'.

When my situation improves and I have the money for a good transfer program I plan to redo it with some new additions of my own.

I've been using these DB speech files for some time now. There was even a DB speech mod taken from the English dubbed version of the movie. I have taken the liberty of zipping both versions and uploading them here;

I don't know which German version you're using, macstu23, but the English version is almost certainly the work of AnzakMick (however he spells it). His is the only version I know of from the dubbed version of the movie.

yeah the english dub is mine...and the only one that I know of.
Hopefully some reworked sounds should be out soon...

Just FYI, i still use some of your sounds. Have been for awhile now

I just wish i could fix it so crash dive doesnt get cut off by the CE calling out the depth changes. Ive messed with the priorty in the cfg file, but havent met any success. Although i havent tried very hard with it either.
