Adding new ship names in SH3 Commander

How does one do so? By simply adding a new ship name(s) in the Text file under your Career folder? The help file doesn't really state much except telling me to read the .cfg file associated with this function.

No fair adding in the "Good Ship Lollypop".

Hi
In C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander\Cfg open the ship names cfg

at the top is this

[CLASSMAP]
;Check if class already exists below before adding here!
KGN=GenericMerchantsAndTankers
KLS=GenericMerchantsAndTankers
KSQ=GenericMerchantsAndTankers
KSS=GenericMerchantsAndTankers
C3Cargo=GenericMerchantsAndTankers
PTR=GenericMerchantsAndTankers
TR=GenericMerchantsAndTankers etc

The ship names for this group are below it 1 to 3559 - if you want to add a ship name to the classes in the first part just add at end eg 4000

If you want to add to DD or other specific ships scroll down and you will see the other ships in groups ie

[DERiver]
0001=HMS Spey
0002=HMS Tay
0003=HMS Exe
0004=HMS Waveney
0005=HMS Test
0006=HMS Wear
0007=HMS Jed
0008=HMS Kale
0009=HMS Lagan
0010=HMS Ness
0011=HMS Itchen
0012=HMS Teviot
0013=HMS Nith
0014=HMS Trent

Add to any group or if you want to add a new group do so at the bottom

[DDCodrington]
001=HMS Codrington D.65
002=HMS Acasta H.09
003=HMS Achates H.12
004=HMS Acheron H.45
005=HMS Active H.14
006=HMS Antelope H.36
007=HMS Anthony H.40
008=HMS Ardent H.41
009=HMS Arrow H.42
