Default 1/144 Gato Sub from Trumpeter

Don't have room or can't wait for Revell's 1/72 scale fleet boat? Maybe this will fit your space/budget better:

This is an interesting development! Just the thing to go next my SSN21! Just wish it was the later version with the cut down conning tower. Wonder how long it will take the after market to come up with the add-ons to customize the boat?

Trumpeter is listing a 1944 version with a TBD date on one of the importers websites.

Certainly helps in the shelf-space department.

I got this kit.
It looks easy to assemble.

All we have to do is making handrail.

It's a great kit! I've started mine and I've got to say I just love this scale.
Already did the Seawolf and the Kilo. Trumpeter should be coming out soon with their 1944 version of the Gato which will make a nice display with the two variations. Not sure if Trumpy folks read these boards but just in case they do all I can say is.....KEEP'EM COMING!

It's looking like we're getting closer to the 1944 version of the Gato! Stevens Hobby is now displaying the boxart of this kit!
