What settings do you use? If I enable sonar auto-crew they pick up contacts that I can't 'see'. After turning up the brightness (ugly) I can see the lines the auto-crew are picking up.
I am using Geforce 6600. Any suggestions?

Nvidia? Good, go to the video card properties dialog, and in the colour correction section, there is a black square with a diagonal line. You can select an advanced mode somewhere in the dialog, that will allow you to manually change the shape of that line. Change the lowest part to be a bit higher, this will make the dark parts brighter, but leave those things that are already bright the same.
An easier way is to change the gamma correction (same dialog), but that will affect all parts of the curve (but mostly the lower ones, so it may still be OK). And you can save colour curves, so it's easy to switch between DW and normal settings. |

If I remember right, Bellman had a screenshot to use for this purpose. You adjust your gamma settings based on his screenie. Where it is now, I don't know. Try www.subguru.com.

Indeed, such a screenshot is included in "TimmyG00's Tactical Manual".
http://www.subguru.com/downloads.html Note that the line is darker than the background, at 60 Hz, and not exactly straight. This is also how it is likely to appear in the game. |

Cheers. I had tried using the gamma correction. But incorrectly. I have the screenie and will try again.
