too much renown
Hi , i have a problem with my SH3. I installed Tonnage war mod but i didn't like so much so i wanted to return to rub 1.45 . Of course i used JSGME and rollback sh3 .
Well it seems ok but when i returned from a patrol i got 26.000 of renown !! i dont think its normal even if in this patrol i spotted 3 large convoys and sunk C2x2,T3x2,C3 and Dido Light Cruiser for a total of 39.000 tons ... i'm using Rub1.45 and playing at 100%real. plaese help...i don't want to lose my career

Noe: I beleive there is a way to adjust your reknown in a file... but I dont know what file or how to change it.
Hopefuly someone that knows reads this and can give the answer. I know ... Im not too much help... ... dont knock it means you shouldnt knock on the door when theres a doorbell...  well...serious: it ment something like: dont worry about it and be happy you got that 26K reknown... Like you, I rather not have all that reknown than buying any and all equipment... Rather get the renown the regular way... |

sounds to me like you have a problem with some residual traces of the NYGM-TW mod still present even though you tried to uninstall/roll it back. NYGM-TW messes around the some files equating "renown" with "tonnage" in order to do what it wants to for its tonnage-based system (it uses tonnage rather than renown for various things).
You may want to consider starting over with a completely fresh new re-install of SH3 and of RUB, rather than relying on the Sh3 Commander rollback or even JSGME deactivation (I use both of those programs and they're great, but I have heard that they may leave some traces of old mods behind, especially if you install and uninstall things several times. Kind of a hassle, but might be worth trying. Good luck and good hunting!

To change your renown go to /My Documents/SH3/data/cfg/Careers/Your Kaleun/ and open files Patrols_0.cfg, Careers_0.cfg and Careers.cfg. In Careers_0.cfg and Careers.cfg change Renown=xxxx.xxxx to whatever you want and in Patrols_0.cfg change DeltaRenown=xxxx.xxxx.
Just make sure it's same value in all three files!
